Author Biography
Su Li , born in 1955, professor at Peking University, doctoral supervisor and former president of the Law School of Peking University. He graduated from McGeorge School of Law and Arizona State University with LL.M, M.A and Ph.D. His main works are The Rule of Law and Its Local Resources, Understanding Order, How the System is Formed and Regulation and Development, along with translation works The Problems of Jurisprudence, How Judges Think, De re publica De legibus, in addition to more than 70 academic papers. Prof. Su Li is one of the most influential and controversial scholars in contemporary Chinese jurisprudence. He provides a different understanding, interpretation and vision of the Chinese judicial system. He also pioneered in the research of China’s legal and literary studies and the sociology of law.
