Description
Self-Portrait of White is the latest collection of poems by the renowned and award-wining poet Haris Vlavianos, whose poetry has been published into all major European languages by established publishing houses. This is a collection of poems written over a period of seven years, its major themes being family relations, loss, deprivation, the anxiety of the present moment, the passing of time and language itself. It’s currently being translated into German and will be published by “Hanser Verlag”.

Author Biography
Haris Vlavianos has published several collections of poetry and has translated the works of poets such as Walt Whitman, Ezra Pound, T.S. Eliot, Michael Longley, Wallace Stevens, John Ashbery, Anne Carson, William Blake, Zbigniew Herbert, Fernando Pessoa and e.e.cummings. His poetry has been translated in several languages. He is the editor of the literary journal Poetics and teaches History and Politics at the American College of Greece, and Creative Writing at the Greek Open University.
