by Dan Savage
Description
To coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Savage Love column,
Savage Love from A to Z features original essays on 26 topics that
showcase Dan Savage's trademark candor and insight and that are
accompanied by whimsical illustrations.
Dan Savage has been talking frankly about sex and relationships for 30
years, and has built an international following thanks to his Savage Love column
and podcast. To celebrate this milestone comes Savage Love from A to Z, an
illustrated collection of 26 new essays that provides a thoughtful dive into
Savage's signature phrases and philosophies. Whether he's talking about issues
like GGG (good giving game) or specific sex acts, you can be sure he's giving it
to you straight. Short excerpts from his columns kick off each essay and
whimsical illustrations by his longtime collaborator Joe Newton complement the
topic at hand. Savage has moved the needle toward a more open discourse
around sex, relationships, and intimacy, and this book will both inspire and
inform his legions of fans.

Reviews
“Dan Savage is the most prominent activist for gay rights in America… many of his proponent forget just how good of a writer he is. American Savage is everything a longtime reader of Savage would expect: a series of hilarious, often touching, essays that deal with sexuality, monogamy, religion, gun rights, and Savage’s family.”
— The AV Club
“Many readers, including gays who believe that adoption is prohibited to them, will welcome Savage’s book [The Kid] like a visit from a generous and irreverent stork.”
—Booklist
“[The Commitment is] As funny as David Sedaris’s essay collections, but bawdier and more thought-provoking.”
—Publisher’s Weekly (starred review)
