At the last moment, Niki and her brother Rafa manage to save a turtle from being run over by a car. From now on, Speedy lives in the communal garden behind their apartment and spends the rest of the summer there. Niki and Rafa feed him and Speedy even performs a special racing turtle training. As in early spring, a housing block is supposed to be built in the garden, the children are upset – after all, Speedy must be hibernating somewhere below the grass. As they cannot find their beloved turtle at first, they are very sad. But Speedy is always good for a surprise…
