Author Biography
Luca Bindi, professor of mineralogy and crystallography, is Head of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Florence. His discovery of natural quasicrystals had an incredible resonance in the international scientific community. He has received national and international scientific awards and he has collaborated with numerous international institutions, including Princeton University, Harvard University and California Institute of Technology.
