Each volume of the series consists of five parts: (1) important political classics at all times and in all over the world; (2) major political events that have changed the course of political history; (3) important political figures who have affected the political development of various countries; (4) political theories that have an extensive impact on human political life; and (5) the basic political system in the history of mankind. Each part has two articles, and the first volume includes the classics The Republic and Politics; the events Qin Shihuang's unification of China and the British Revolution; the figures Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty and Washington; the trends of thought cosmopolitanism and populism; the system republicanism and the rule of law. It embraces the author's subjective analysis and comments, as well as the most representative cutting–edge achievements of political science research in various countries.
