Contributor Biography
Rebecca Gale is a translator, storyteller and writer. Originally from the UK, she grew up in North London, in a family of actors, dancers and writers. From a young age she has par- ticipated in community protests and marches and studied Culture of Peace at university. She has been a passionate reader since the age of three and lives in a forest on the outskirts of Barcelona with her husband and two daughters.
Ximo Abadia is a highly acclaimed artist, living and working in Spain. Author and illustrator of children’s books, graphic novels, and comics. He was a finalist for the Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrator Competition. Ximo’s magazine covers, editorial art, and work in advertising are familiar throughout Europe. He has illustrated numerous publications including The Speed of Starlight and his work was selected for the Bologna Children’s Illustrator’s Exhibition in 2017. His album Frank (Dibbuks; Europe Comics in English) was awarded the prize for Best Illustrated Album at the 2018 Heroes Comic Con.
