It’s spring and most of all, it’s the holidays! The sun is shining, the birds are
chirping and the grass is high in the fields.
Each day, three friends meet and walk through the countryside to go to
their hut. But that day, the wind blows, the branches are shaken… A storm
is coming! The walk will then become a great adventure, a real odyssey
in a sometimes peaceful, sometimes threatening countryside. The three
friends will remain united, hand in hand, until they get to their shelter
and we will finally know if the hut resisted the storm…
Marie Dorléans here explores a new graphic style: she offers us a delicate
picture book full of poetry, which is reminiscent of the universe of Miyazaki.

Author Biography
Marie Dorléans is an author and an illustrator. She graduated from the Decorative Arts Schoold of Strasbourg and has since been published by Baron Perché, des Braques and Sarbacane. In her albums, she shows the very particular way she looks at the world and at everyday life, halfway between the absurd and fantasy. Her last album Nous avons rendez-vous, published at Seuil Jeunesse in 2018, received the Landerneau Prize and was very well received. She lives in Strasbourg (France).
