Worldwide prevalence of migraine is approximately 15% and it is twice more prevalent in females as in males. Attacks peak between 25 and 55 years of age, thus having severe impact on functionality and productivity, reflected by loss of work days. The book highlights the need to explore new avenues in the treatment of migraine.
