Between Mexico and Buenos Aires, in a violent struggle between loyalty and betrayal, the destinies of the characters intertwine, all of them assassins and drug traffickers, forming a broader plot, which makes the stories of No laughter in heaven a novel. The world of drug trafficking, narrated from fiction with harsh blows of realism, reveals countless violent experiences in which the ultimate consequences of our actions and the search for identity take on unexpected resonances. Ultimately, Urquiza's narrative reveals the difficulty of moving forward in a world where once you enter, it is impossible to leave.

Author Biography
ARIEL URQUIZA nació en Tres Arroyos, Argentina, en 1972. Estudió Periodismo y Traductorado de inglés. Su libro No hay risas en el cielo recibió el Premio Casa de las Américas en 2016, y fue preseleccionado en la cuarta edición del Premio Hispanoamericano de Cuentos Gabriel García Márquez. Ya pueden encender las luces, por su parte, fue finalista del III Premio Eugenio Cambaceres organizado por la Biblioteca Nacional.
Ariel Urquiza was born in Tres Arroyos, Argentina, in 1972. He studied Journalism and English Translation. His book There is no laughter in heaven received the Casa de las Américas Prize in 2016, and was shortlisted for the fourth edition of the Gabriel García Márquez Hispano-American Short Story Prize. You can now turn on the lights, for his part, he was a finalist for the III Eugenio Cambaceres Award organized by the National Library.
