Author Biography

Zhou Erliu, born in Shanghai, in 1929, graduated from Nankai University, once serving as head of the Chinese Center of Social Development Research, vice principle of Beijing University,cultural counselor of Chinese Embassy in UK, advisor and researcher at Nankai University’s Zhou Enlai Research Center, bureau-level officials in the International Department, Ministry of Culture and Foreign Cultural Council. Since the reform and opening-up policy was implemented, he has published many books and articles on social science research, he was the chief editor of On Coordinated Development of Urban-rural Areas (key project of the National Philosophy and Social Science’s “Seventh Five-Year Plan”) in the 80’s.
