Author Biography

Wu Ran is a children’s literature writer and senior editor from Yunnan Province, and the honorary president of the Kunming Children’s Literature Research Association. He has published several collections of children’s essays, such as The Angels’ Garden House and Wu Ran’s Classical Essays. He has won multiple awards, including the National Outstanding Children’s Literature Award, the Soong Ching-ling Children’s Literature Prize, the Bing Xin Children’s Literature Award, and the Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Award. His several works have been included in the “Chinese” textbooks of various versions for elementary school students in various areas, including Hong Kong and Taiwan. The Elementary School under the Big Green Tree and Walk the Moon have been selected in the “Chinese” textbooks edited by the Ministry of Education and published by People’s Education Press, the first volume for the third grade and the first volume for the fourth grade, respectively.
