Author Biography

Assem Mawuto Koffivi was born on 25 January 1980 in Lomé. He holds a degree in modern literature. He has participated in several competitions and training workshops in writing children's literature, short stories, journalistic articles, fiction scripts, documentaries, animation film direction, management of the website of a publishing house ... He entered the world of children's literature through his rewritings of tales. Under his pen, "Snow White" and "Sleeping Beauty" gave birth to "Rose-Fleur" in 2003 and "La Belle ensorcelée" in 2005. Her passion for writing workshops led her to train in this field and to run workshops in Togo and Benin, especially for children. After having collaborated with several children's magazines within the Togolese association of authors and illustrators of children's books, he created AGO Média with FOLLY-NOTSRON Magloire Adrien and intervenes as a trainer in the creation of comics in several schools and with international organizations within the framework of various projects in Togo and Benin. He has also published short stories; a children's album "Un intrus dans notre takyiènta" in 2008, comics such as "De fil en aiguille" in 2012 in the magazine Planètes Jeunes, "Haïti mon amour" in 2012, "Le bon, la bourse et le corrompu" and "Chroniques de Lomé" in 2013. Nominated for the literary prize of independence, he won the first prize of the France-Togo Association in 2005 and several grants from the National Book Centre in Paris.

FOLLY-NOTSRON Kanyi Adrien Magloire alias KanAd was born on 8 September 1983 in Lomé. A Togolese national, he is an engineer in medical and biological analysis. He received a special mention from the jury at the 2010 edition of the "Africa e mediterraneo" competition, and was then included in the official selection of the international cartoonists' competition launched as part of the 2010 edition of the Algiers Comic Strip Festival in Algeria thanks to the comic strip "Haïti mon amour". In 2013, he published with ASSEM Koffivi at AGO, the comic strip entitled "Le bon, la bourse et le corrompu" and "Chroniques de Lomé". But before that, as an illustrator, he published "Querelle au pays de l'alphabet" and "Un ami pas comme les autres" in 2001, "La belle ensorcelée" in 2005, "Un intrus dans notre takyiènta" and "A la recherche de ses origines" in 2008. After attending several training workshops, notably in comic book creation and animation for young people, he became Artistic Director of AGO Media. He intervenes as a trainer in the creation of comics in several schools and with international organisations in the framework of various projects in Togo and Benin. In February 2014, he received a grant from the Centre National du Livre de Paris for the creation of a comic book. From May to August 2014, he benefited from a residency to create a comic book in La Rochelle, financed by the French Institute of Togo.
