Author Biography
Marie-Andrée Arsenault
Marie-Andrée Arsenault holds a master in lite- rary creation from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She published short stories in the journal Zinc (2009) and in two collectives published by Éditions de Ta Mère (2012, 2013). In 2014, she received the first prize at Appartenance(s), a literary contest organized by the Canada Council for the Arts and the CBC. Moreover, her first children book, Les souvenirs du sable (2014), was finalist for the Tamarac Express Award in 2016.
Characters in her small novels share with her the same passion: the Îles-de-la-Madeleine, whose salt water flows in their veins.
Amélie Dubois
Amélie Dubois is an artist who first started to express her passion through animation and visual effects for film and television. She now devotes herself to her own universe through illustration. Originally from Montreal, she lives today in the Mauricie and it’s from her studio that she creates. She loves to go for a walk, always accompanied by her dog Lulu. In the spring of 2017, she received a mention of honor from the Salon du livre de Trois-Rivières for the albumw La Peine de Sophie-Fourire.
