Love at Elephant's Time
by Ariane Bois
Description
The story of three destinies that intersect and end up catching each other for good.Three people meet in Paris in 1918. Just after they get to know each other, they realize they had witnessed the same scene a few years ago in America.
Everything starts in 1916 in a small town of Tennessee. Arabella is an intrepid teenager and circus fan. Jeremiah is a young journalist but his deepest wish is to become a writer. And Kid the jazz man is running away from the KKK and precariousness. They don’t know each other and yet the three of them have witnessed a shocking event: the execution by hanging of an elephant, Mary, found guilty of having killed a man.
The three of them will finally meet in post-war Paris, and the improbability of this encounter will strongly bring them together. Arabella and Jeremiah will fall in love, but the entire trio will get inseparable. They will take it as a sign and end up accumplishing
their incredible destiny in Keyna, by saving elephants from abuse. But will this be enough to save them from themselves?
From America involved in the First World War to the Paris of the 1920s, passing through the Kenya of the English colonists, it is a saga about a youth in love with the absolute, with environmental awareness and with animals rights.
