Little Miss Yes is a story about assertiveness or assertive communication as
a very important social and emotional competency and skill in children’s
development.
Children need to learn how to express their thoughts, feelings, and point of
view honestly and in a way which is not hurtful towards others. Children need
their own voice. They need to learn that passive or submissive behavior leads
to much bigger problems. Milly will teach them that it is important to fight for
your integrity, needs, and feelings in an acceptable and healthy way. The goal of
this skill is to build stable, deep, and sincere relationships throughout life.
