This collection presents six of the most remarkable architectural projects by Lina Bo Bardi: Glass House, São Paulo Art Museum (MASP), Sesc Pompeia Factory, Oficina Theater (all in São Paulo), Unhão Manor (Bahia) and Espírito Santo do Cerrado Church (Minas Gerais). Besides texts by the editor Marcelo Carvalho Ferraz, this work features contributions by researchers and professionals who worked with Lina. The six volumes also contain writings by Bardi and a rich iconographic material composed of drawings, building plans and photographs. Author Biography
Marcelo Ferraz is an architect who graduated from FAU-USP in 1978, he is a founding partner of the firm Brasil Arquitetura and of Marcenaria Baraúna. He was one of Lina Bo Bardi’s collaborators from 1977 to 1992, and took part in projects such as Sesc Pompéia. He also collaborated with Oscar Niemeyer in 2002. He directed the Lina Bo and P. M. Bardi Institute from 1992 to 2001 and the Monumenta program in 2003 and 2004. He taught at Washington University in 2006 as a guest professor and is a professor at Escola da Cidade in São Paulo. He published the books Rural Architecture in Serra da Mantiqueira (1992), Lina Bo Bardi (1993) and Conversable Architecture (2011).
