Author Biography
Iryna Fingerova is a doctor, writer, and journalist from Odesa. From 2019 she lives and works as a doctor in Germany.
From 2022 she organises the Ukrainian house from Plattform Dresden e.V in Dresden to support Ukrainian culture. Iryna also collects donations for Ukrainian hospitals in cooperation with the Saxony medical association.
Iryna is the author of a collection of short stories Sur-tuk, 2017, Stellar Publishing House; the dystopian novel Placebo, 2018, Folio; and the novel Zamki, 2020, Folio;
Translations of her short stories were published in several literature magazines: Kulturmagazin Titel (Hamburg), Maulkorb (Dresden), LICHTUNGEN (Graz), orte Literaturzeitschrift (Zurich), Entwürfe (Zurich), Ostragehege (Dresden), Das Magazin (Schweiz).
Alina Zharikova is a doctor and illustrator from Odesa. This book is her first experience as an illustrator.
