I'm reading this book and I'm crying. Because there is nothing funny here - Death comes too close to the hospital bed of the main character, the girl's body hurts too often, and the tapestry of her life is torn too early. But I am reading this book and laughing out loud. Because Death is wearing brown tights, a Kikimore lives behind the radiator in the house, and a nurse on the night shift reads Amazing Slavic, picking his teeth with an ear of rye. Barbara Piórkowska, poet of everyday life, you have written an amazing book. I recommend it with all my heart.
