Description
This guidebook leads you through the locations in cities and villages of Ukraine that are closely connected to the history and culture of Ukrainian Jewish Community. The book is based on the geographical principle, i.e. each chapter describes a particular region of Ukraine. The illustrative material allows us to see both cultural monuments that still exist as well as photos of the objects that have not survived. Special attention is paid to personalities, including Jewish writers, cultural activists, civil rights leaders, philanthropists, religious figures, and righteous men. The guidebook can be especially useful for tourists who are interested in the Jewish history of the country.

Author Biography
Marharyta Yehorchenko is a philologist, editor, and research associate of the Center for Research in the History and Culture of East European Jewry (Kyiv, Ukraine), candidate of philological sciences (PhD). Iryna Berland is a philosopher, cultural expert, scientific editor of the "Spirit and Literature" publishing house. She is the editor/co-editor of a number of books, including: Polish Solidarity with Maidan (2020), Jewish Addresses of Ukraine (2020), etc. Participant of the project "Second World War: 75 years later". Ihor Vynokurov is a historian, deputy director of the Center for Research in the History and Culture of East European Jewry (Kyiv). Compiler of the collection "World War II: Reflections after Eight Decades" (2022) and scientific editor of a number of books, including "Ukrainian-Jewish Relations: From History to Memory" by John-Paul Khimka (2019) and the Ukrainian translation of "Genocide: Introduction to a global history" by Adam Jones (2020).
