Author Biography
Chang Xin'gang is a member of the National Committee and the Children's Literature Committee of the China Writers Association. He has published more than 100 works represented by I Want to Be a Green Onion, Five Heads of Garlic, Three Pieces of Young Ginger, and Six Hairs of Chen Tu. He has won numerous awards, including the 1st, 2nd, 6th, and 9th China Outstanding Children's Literature Award, the Zhuang Zhongwen Literary Award, the Song Qingling Award for Children's Literature, the Chen Bochui Award for Children's Literature, the Bing Xin Prize for Children's Books, the Best Children's Readings Award of Taiwan's "Good Books to Be Read by All" and the Prize for Good Books Most Popular with Students. His works have been selected into the "Top 100 Excellent Books Recommended to Chinese Teenagers" by the National Press and Publication Administration, the "Three One Hundreds" project for original publications, and Germany's White Ravens Catalogue of Books for Children and Teenagers. He has many works translated into foreign languages including Japanese and Korean.
