Description
Chickens do not necessarily have to turn a well-kept garden into a desert through their eating and scratching activities. They don't have to be a permanent nuisance to the neighborhood with their noise and odors, and they are not an "unmanageable task" in terms of their husbandry requirements. In an entertaining way, poultry professional Robert Höck tells you in this book how to make your garden chickens "happy" and how to keep them that way. In the process, he also gives some gardening advice. The first part of the book deals with a wide variety of topics related to successful chicken keeping in private gardens. Topics such as "Is my garden suitable for chickens?", "Keeping chickens in the city garden", "Chicken coops for the garden", "Keeping garden chickens healthy" to "Offspring in the garden chickens", Robert Höck describes thereby convincingly on the basis of his "Happy chicken philosophy".
Professionally competent and in a refreshing manner, the trained landscape gardener presents 30 garden treasures for your chicken garden, medical plants as well as pretty climbing plants for beautifying the enclosure fence - a variety of inspiration. In the third section of the book, the author tells exciting stories of the15 exquisite chicken breeds that are particularly well-suited for keeping in the "Happy Chicken Garden". Depending on what your requirements are, there will be the perfect match for you: Be it because they are very small, particularly quiet or also trusting and therefore suitable for families. So you, too, can find the right breed for your garden, that will show the exact characteristics you are looking for in your future "fellow gardeners".
