Description
This chronological journey of poems tracks the love story between two poets, Norman Morrissey and Silke Heiss, charting Morrissey's dramatic illness and death, leading to the fascinating, complex grieving process of his widow. Many of the poems show nature's part in the healing process, as well as the mysteries of ongoing verbal communication, transcending death, between the poets.

Reviews
Hello dear Silke
I loved GREATER MATTER.
"A stunning, amazing piece of work Silke, wrought from so much god-damn honest pain – flip.
I’ve read it three times and I know I will come back to it.
Thank you."
- Anne Keating, author of 'Wild Voices', Haga-Haga
"Your book of poems dedicated to your husband, of your life together is a great honour to his memory & your life together. I treasure my copy of "Greater Matter" purchased. Lots of depth, but also great humour which certainly gave me the giggles on some. I definitely recommend your book to those experiencing deep loss, or like me are just a romantic at heart. Thank you Silke for sharing of your and Norman's life together in poem form, sending the message that true love never fades; it goes on beyond the grave in one's heart & memories." - Lorraine Cockrell, Johannesburg
