Feodora + Gino (2) A Choir without a Tenor
by Peter Kruck/Meggie Berns
Description
It's the best day of the year: Everyone is celebrating the "Day of
Cheerfulness". Feodora and Gino paint their noses red, as is
customary on this day, and enjoy the great atmosphere.
Feodora notices that the jar of Schnecki's wild strawberries is
empty. So Feodora and Gino go into the forest to pick some more.
As soon as they get there, they have the craziest adventures.
“Team Giodora“, as they call themselves, have quite a lot to do.
First, Feodora has to save a ladybug from drowning. Next, they
have to help a little bird that has fallen out of its nest. And then,
they almost fall into a creek. Suddenly they hear strange noises
coming from a clearing. And they have to summon up all their
courage to face the next task. A choir of beetles has a huge
problem: One of their singers is hoarse and croaks worse than a
crow with a sore throat.
Fortunately, Feodora and Gino already have the solution. Now the
plan just has to work!

Author Biography
After training as an office administrator, Meggie worked for a charity from 1998 to 2019. But she wasn't really able to live out her enormous creative talent. Since the birth of her daughter Jana in 2003 (she plays Feodora in our films) and even more so after Aaron's birth in 2010 (he's our dinosaur), her interest in high-quality children's entertainment grew steadily. The demand alone was difficult to meet.
Then, by an incredibly lucky coincidence, she met Petie in 2017. He had already written a few books. Together with him and Aaron, the actual source of the ideas, she developed the stories from the Dino-Fino universe. At some point, Meggie and Petie decided to go all in. Sometimes you have to put all your eggs in one basket.
From then on, they worked on their dream project every day. Meggie quickly trained in book typesetting and graphic design. Since then, she has been illustrating and typesetting the books of the Dino Fino publishing house on her own.
At the same time, the idea of creating another book series alongside the first (Dino + Ricky) was born. Dino's little sister Feodora was increasingly demanding her role in the minds of the creative team.
No sooner said than done. Meggie and Petie worked together to create the adventures of Feodora + Gino. But even that wasn't enough. At some point, they came up with the idea of creating picture books for the little ones. Meggie sank deeper and deeper into this project. In a creative eruption without equal, she conceived, wrote and designed the first six picture books in just a few weeks - single-handedly.
Meggie has found her Ikigai as a mom of two wonderful children and creative publishing work.

The children's books from Dino Fino Publishing are a possibly unique feature worldwide. Two siblings of different ages offer stories and books for children from diapers to braces. All the picture books have been or will be filmed word for word. Children who want to learn to read can therefore read along with the movie word for word. We call that picture book cinema. The first book about “Schnecki” is available on our website as PDFs in numerous languages, and the films can also be viewed there. The Feodora + Gino stories are divided into two book series: Large-format picture books are for children aged 2 to 4. When the children are a bit older and can understand slightly more complex stories, they switch to our reading books about Feodora + Gino. And when they have grown out of that age, they can read the books about Fee's brother and his cheeky little T-Rex friend. The book series about Dino + Ricky is written for children aged 6 to 10. These books are a little more challenging, cheeky and exciting, Our stories can therefore accompany children throughout their childhood. One of our readers once said: “The books from Dino Fino Publishing are like eating chips: Once you start, you never want to stop”.
