Fast Facts: Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson's Disease
by K Ray Chaudhuri, Christopher G Clough, Kapil D Sethi
Description
Most textbooks on Parkinson’s disease focus on specific elements of management such as the treatment of motor symptoms, yet there is an overwhelming body of evidence and patient testimony that supports the need for information on holistic care. This beautifully illustrated third edition of Fast Facts: Parkinson’s Disease addresses all aspects of patient care, including the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach, and the assessment and treatment of non-motor symptoms.

Endorsements
For the non-"experts" to have tables of management strategies for motor and non-motor complications provides a useful point of reference when grappling with these issues... This book was very easy to read and equally simple to dip in and out of ... it certainly lived up to its title of "Fast Facts". I would recommend this book to anyone with an interest in PD as it provides a good overview but also with a surprising amount of depth at times.
- Dr Alistair Church, GP and Clinical Assistant, Primary Care Neurology Society, 1 December 2012
As someone diagnosed with Parkinson just two years ago, the book gives a clear picture of how my condition could develop and issues that may arise. For healthcare professionals, I imagine this would be an excellent, up-todate resource. For people with Parkinson’s, it’s a useful, if challenging, addition to the books already available.
- Parkinson's UK
This book aims to provide an easy guide for doctors who are not necessarily specialists in neurology for managing the motor and non-motor symptoms of the disease ... [It] is certainly good value. In a world of limited time, it can be read quickly and carried in your pocket to read when you have a spare moment.
