Author Biography
He was born in Göttingen, Germany, in 1967. He is one of the most recognized, translated, and performed contemporary German playwrights; his works have been staged in more than 40 countries. Before studying theater direction at the Otto Falkenberg School in Munich, he worked as an independent journalist in Istanbul. In 2016, he published his first novel: "A Clear and Cold Morning in January at the Beginning of the 21st Century," which was a finalist for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in 2016.
