Author Biography

I began writing seriously over 30 years ago, producing editorials, pieces for magazines, newspapers and educational booklets. I contributed over 200+ pieces for a website which won the International Association of Webmasters & Designers Golden Web Award for Design, Creativity and Content 3 years running.

About 10 years ago I took up fictional writing and have written a historical novel, a short story mystery book and a series of children’s picture story books. I’ve run a couple of writing competitions where all the winners and runners-up were published.

Apart from writing, I mentor other writers around the world, including younger writers who are wanting to learn the craft, leading them through the maze of writing towards their ultimate goal of publishing. With the younger writers I do this through the Kids4Kids.org.uk Organisation.

Recently I became a judge for BBC Radio 2’s ‘500 Words’ Children’s Writing Competition which I thoroughly enjoy. And I am now working with a new business titled Mentoring Writers based here in Cardiff. Overall, I am having lots of fun and that’s all that matters.
