Description
A group of people discover golden stones and silver stones in neighboring mountains. Moved by their beauty, they decide to take them all, emptying the mountains and leaving behind only silence. The mountains will wake up from their long sleep. The children will be the ones who acknowledge and address the problem.
A story about the delicate balance of nature, our responsibility towards it’s preservation, and the dangers in natural resources’ exploitation.

Author Biography
Sabina Álvarez Schürmann was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the winter of 1983. She studied drawing, engraving and ceramics at the National University Institute of Art of Buenos Aires, but when she discovered illustrated books, she fell in love with them and decided to specialize in illustration. She currently collaborates as an illustrator with the main publishers of Argentina, Chile, Belgium and China. In pípala, she published Two mountains (Dos montañas) and Zim Zam as a full author and New Dress (Vestido nuevo) as an illustrator.
