Author Biography
Gao Jing is a member of the Guangxi Artists Association and the Shenzhen Illustration Association. She founded Beijing Chubby Kiddie Picture Book Studio in 2012 and has been focusing on the creation of picture books and illustrations. Her representative works include original picture books Rose Blossoms, Under the Cherry Tree, Grain Buds, Different Spring Festival.
Her illustrations Rains Hiding in the Tree and Blooming Monkshood have won the Bing Xin Book Prize, her original picture book Rose Blossoms recognized as a Shanghai Good Children's Book of 2019, and her Different Spring Festival selected into the program "Picture Books about COVID-19 for Children around the World" initiated by IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People). Many of her works have been selected into the top 100 excellent publications recommended to Chinese teenagers by the former State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television; her illustrations have been shortlisted in the Hiii Illustration competitions and exhibited in China including Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou as well as Italy, Russia and Finland.
