Description
"Deep Work for Companies! Rethink value creation in the digital age. The Focused Company New Work-Book for companies"; Authors: Vera Starker, Matthias Schneider; With a foreword by neuroscientist Prof. Dr. Volker Busch
Who is not familiar with the challenges of today's workday, which is characterized by multitasking, information overflow and fragmentation? Innovative strength and productivity fall by the wayside. Maybe working in an open-plan office, with desk sharing? Non-stop distraction is guaranteed and means that concentrated work is usually done in the evening or at home. This workbook summarizes the current state of research and knowledge on the topics of open-plan offices, meetings, digital communication overflow and fragmentation of work. And as a solution, it presents "The Focused Company", the first systemically integrated neuroergonomic framework for concentrated work in companies. TFC increases self-organization, redefines leadership and implements a culture of concentration to create optimal conditions for "brain work" in the digital knowledge age - the basis for dynamic value creation.
From the foreword by neuroscientist Professor Dr. Volker Busch: "We will have to rethink not only our work, but also our ways of working. New Work must also include brain-oriented work. As a neuroscientist and psychiatrist, I would like to agree unconditionally with the authors: The ability to redirect your attention in a goal-oriented way is pretty much the most important quality for intellectual success, which you should regain and develop."
In light of recent events, the TFC model has also been applied to crisis management. The TFC Crisis Model is included in the book as a special supplement. The companies are supported in staying productive during the Corona crisis, despite the difficult working conditions, and are thus strengthened to emerge more mature and with maximum productivity.
