For Valérie Fernandez and Thomas Houy, both professors at Télécom Paris, the world has shifted from a risky one to an uncertain one. The difference? In a risky world, businesses had to make decisions without knowing tomorrow’s outcome, but they were at least able to identify possible futures. In an uncertain world, they cannot even anticipate what will happen tomorrow as most events remain unimaginable.
To counteract this, the authors have developed a new tool called Decision Model Canvas (DMC) based on the one created by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur.
