Forced to migrate, a group of cicadas seek refuge in the territory of an orchestra of crickets, who are unwilling to share their property. Both groups, who despise each other for being different, will be forced to live together; as they get to know each other better, they will discover that they are not as different as they think and that they can complement each other to form the most beautiful of harmonies. This book introduces us to the philosophical problem of private property and proposes solidarity and empathy, not only as a solution to our conflicts, but as the only possibility of survival in a world where everyone believes they have the right to appropriation and exploitation.
