EX Stories brings together seven stories of encounters and disagreements that deliberate on the exceptionality of the routine and the spontaneity of the extravagant. Some of the inhabitants of this world of eccentricities are: a group of friends and acquaintances who settle their differences to find an exact moment and dissolve their opinions in the immensity of the unknown; an individual who excavates the banks of a foreign river while opening intimate underground galleries; some anonymous subjects who exclaustrate to demolish fears, demolish doubts and freely know themselves; a lady who exonerates an instinctive desire by giving a feeling oral form; a young man who accepts an absurd eventuality and learns to live with his bad luck; a man who excuses his wishes from the anguish of repetition or abandonment; and a pain-free poet idolized for penetrating uncertain abysses.
The characters and voices in these stories exceed the limits of their own magnitude in search of an emotion, the jolt of which gives them the chance to explain themselves from a new exegesis.

Author Biography
DAVID GAMBARTE (Finland)
David is a forestry engineer from the University of Lleida and works as a professional in business expansion and international sales.
He lives in Finland since 2007, and is passionate about fly fishing and literature.
Among his publications, he has a book of short stories, Expanded Stories (2012); and two books of poems El cálculo de la soledad (The Calculation of Loneliness) (2015), prefaced by Luis Eduardo Aute; and Lágrimas agraces (Unripen Tears) (2017), with a foreword by Carlos Mayoral.
David is the author of the short story “Nada más que agua” (“Only Water”) in EX Stories.
CONSTANZA TERNICIER (Chile)
Constanza has a PhD in Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a PhD in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
She is the author of the novels Hamaca and The Trajectory of the Planes in the Air, and of the story “A Made-Up Suitcase” that is part of the anthology Big Crack. She is also the co-writer of the film Sapo.
She was recognized by the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and the Saturday Magazine of El Mercurio as one of the 100 young leaders of 2018.
Constanza is the author of “La pared” (“The Wall”) in EX STORIES.
JUAN MANUEL CHÁVEZ (Perú/Spain)
Juan Manuel Chávez is a writer and a scholar. He holds a BA in Literature from the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos in Perú. He has a master’s degree in Human Rights and a diploma in Higher Education Teaching.
He is currently pursuing his PhD at the Universidad de Valencia and is a researcher in the Biographical Studies Unit of the Universitat de Barcelona.
He has written numerous works that cover different genres, from the short story to the novel, through the essay and also the children’s story. Throughout his literary career he has received prestigious literary awards in each of these genres.
Juan Manuel is the author of the short stories “El misterio de la obediencia” in EX Stories and “Mi patria chica” in Contes del Procés.
