Author Biography
The Author
Kirsten Reinhardt grew up in a small town in the Lüneburger Heide and in Yokohama, Japan. Today, she lives with her family in Berlin and is an author. When she is not busy thinking up, writing or translating new stories, she works on productions for children’s theatre. Kirsten Reinhardt was awarded the ‘Oldenburger Kinder- und Jugendbuchpreis’ and has won numerous grants. Clara is her second illustrated book.
The Illustrator
Christiane Fürtges was born in Mülheim an der Ruhr. She studied communication design at the Folkwangschule in Essen with a focus on illustration and free drawing. Since her graduation in 2003, she has worked as a freelance illustrator.
