An Outline of Western Sinology's Contributions to the Study of Chinese Unearthed Texts
by Edward L. Shaughnessy
Description
With his profound academic background in both China and the West, Edward L. Shaughnessy summarized the academic history of Western scholars' research on Chinese unearthed documents and made sublimated comments and summaries. The unearthed documents in this book include oracle bone inscriptions, bronze inscriptions and bamboo and silk inscriptions. It includes almost all the western scholars who have made outstanding contributions to Sinology. This book shows the research content and course of every Sinologist who has made outstanding contributions.
