Breaking the Silence. Studies of the new tendancies of Expression.
by Hala Kamal, Serine Wagdy, Ahmed Kheir, Deena Gamil, Menna Agha and Sara Abdeen
Description
It is often said that the Revolution of January 25th launched the spark of change in social relations. However, nobody cared about studying the forms of such change and ways of expressing it. This book deals with the relation between the ego and the other, considering awareness of body freedom against self-censorship and collective authority.
It is true that Egypt has so far lacked a broad and popular "social movement" that advocates for women's rights. However, the accumulation of individual practices of women who made the revolution and women made by the revolution reveals a vast sea of unorganized changes that are moving towards one goal in the field of women's relations with men: A movement for liberation and equality in the most ancient field of oppression in history: the oppression of women.
