Syed Hussain Basha, who is known in the Tamil literary circles by his pen name, S.Arshiya, is a novelist, Short story writer, Translator and was a Journalist.
His books have won various literary awards. Among them, his Ezaraippankaali Vakaiyara novel have won the award for the best novel by the Government of Tamil Nadu..
He has won numerous awards for his translations too.
Known for bouncing and energetic writing. Political writings gained a special place for him in the Tamil context.
He passed away in 2018.
