A little girl called Alice lives in a large world with so many different things: big and small. Here is a kitten; it is small. Compared to it, Alice is big. But if we look at her dad, we see that he is the one who's big, while Alice is small.

The girl and her dad often go to the zoo, where an elephant lives. Now that is one large creature! Although...how come that the same thing can be big and small at the same time? Is there anything that can be called the largest? Dad told Alice that the Universe is so big that it has neither a beginning nor an end. But the girl knows for sure: there is another immensely large thing: her mother's love. Maybe it's even bigger than the Universe. Alice reflects on this and invites the readers to think about it, too.
