Author Biography

Michèle Marineau knows better than anyone how to blend writing finesse, emotional depth and an intriguing plot line into a work whose quality has been recognized countless times. She is the winner of two Governor General’s Literary Awards, in 1988 for her first novel, Cassiopée – L’Été polonais, and in 1993 for La Route de Chlifa, which also garnered the Prix 12/17 Brive/ Montréal and the Prix Alvine-Bélisle that same year. In 2001, she also received the Mr. Christie’s Book Award for Rouge Poison, a mystery novel for teens.
