Author Biography
Joël Eboueme Bognomo is a Cameroonian playwright, scriptwriter, director, cultural promoter and trainer. His meeting with the Belgian author Marie Wabbes, during the workshop ‘‘Images pour enfants d’Afrique’’ (Images for African children) in 1994 and 1995, brought him into the world of children’s literature. He has published several books for children, including ‘‘Une merveilleuse grand-mère’’ and ‘‘Madoulina: A Girl Who Wanted to Go to School’’. He is Liaison Officer of IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) and founder of the Cameroon national section in 2019.

Maryse Montron is a watercolourist. She lives in the Loire Valley in Saumur, France. Concerned about the preservation of the environment, landscapes, animals and nature inspire her watercolours. The education of children is also important to her. She is also co-author of the book ‘‘Ayélévi’s Secret’’ published in 2020 by Akoma Mba.
