Suddenly awakening from her sleep, Amina witnesses that the turtle-box, bought in an antique shop, comes to life and together with her friend, a glass turtle standing on the table goes to explore an amazing sight. Out of curiosity, the girl decides to follow the turtles and unexpectedly finds herself in the magical world of the Country of Nomads.

Author Biography

Zaure Turekhanova is a young children’s writer, screenwriter. Zaure’s career began relatively recently; she left her job as an international banker to develop children’s literature in Kazakhstan. Today Zaure is the winner of the independent literary competition “Altyn Kalam - 2014”, the laureate of the literary prize of Kazakhstan “Altyn Tobylgy - 2017”, in the nomination “The best children’s literature of the year”. The award was organized by the Foundation of the First President of Kazakhstan. Zaure is the author of the children’s fantasy novel “Amina Turan in the Country of Nomads”, as well as 2 other books “Our beloved city of Almaty”, “The heart of our homeland is beautiful Astana”. Both books are in the Library of US Congress. In Great Britain, at the international film festival of the Eurasian Creative Guild, the work of Kazakhstani author Zaure Turekhanova “House of the Silkworm” won in the nomination “Best Screenplay”. The jury noted her work as an original work in the fantasy genre.
