In 2018, visual artist Ahn Zhe's five illustrations of AHO the hippopotamus were selected for Bologna Illustrators' Exhibition. This was the starting point for the foundation and development of this book, after three years of creative work to achieve a deeply emotional, wordless picture book : AHO uses his sadness to build a beautiful forest, fantasizing that he lives there in company of a boy.
