Author Biography

Born and grown up near Ribnitz-Damgarten, I also studied mathematics here in the region (Rostock) a long time ago. Until the reunification I worked in a data center, then under difficult conditions in companies that built houses and yachts. Meanwhile 69 years old and four times grandfather, I have always been actively involved in beautiful literature besides my work as a dröger programmer. During the GDR times I tried for quite a long time to convince a publisher of my (fantastically alienated) novel about the wall. Shortly before the reunification I got an admission for distance learning at the Literaturinstitut "Johannes R. Becher". But there other things were more important.

In the year 2000 my collection of stories "Lapislazulisteine für Ostdeutsche" was published by the Scheunenverlag, Kückenshagen.

In the meantime I am a pensioner and have - what I never had - enough time to write.

In March 2014 the novel "Ein beschneites Feuerwerk" was published, my literary examination of the problems and challenges of the Wende.

In 2016 "Der Sprosser und die Gottesbrille - ein nachdenklicher Thriller" followed.

I live with my wife, our dog and two cats at the edge of the village; in front of us only fields, woods, the river Trebel.
