A possible life
by José Alejandro Adamuz
Description
A journey that was, but has not yet ended, and in which the return is as important as the departure. José Alejandro Adamuz travels through and recalls Latin American geographies with an intention: to find words - both his own and others' - with which to recognize oneself in the mirror, combat forgetfulness, and be able to narrate the world and its stories. Inspired by explorers like Darwin or Humboldt and writers like Bruce Chatwin, Julio Cortázar, Roberto Bolaño, or Rebecca Solnit, the author traces a multifaceted and fragmented journey in which literature, art, anthropology, confessions, fears, and celebrations blend.
Agile, contemporary, fun, bold, daring. Through fragments, stories of others, memories, and anticipations, "Una vida posible" brings us closer to the original emotion of the journey.

"A beautiful metajourney: nomadic memories harmoniously engage with philosophy and theories about movement." Jorge Carrión
"I have devoured a possible life. On one hand, I couldn't stop reading it, and on the other hand, I didn't want to finish it. I enjoyed it a lot. Many images, texts, and feelings resonated with me; I could have written them myself... but I didn't, so I am content and pleased that someone else did." José Luis Angulo, Ser Aventureros
"The book is a WON-DER-FUL work." Diana Arrastia, COOLT magazine
"A wonderful story but, above all, signed by a great writer." Jordi Serrallonga
"The travel book to learn how to deviate. Fine intelligence, intimate emotion." Carmina Balaguer, Viajes National Geographic
"An intense work of constellations and montage, at the heart of which we sense that traveling, like writing, goes against any idea that reality is homogeneous." Hilario J. Rodríguez, Frontera D
"Your book is f***ing amazing." Pep Bernadas, Altaïr Bookstore
"Profound, reflective, and diverse." Pablo Strubell

Author Biography
José Alejandro Adamuz (born in Olesa de Montserrat in 1976) is a journalist by vocation, as well as a flâneur, a lover of letters, and dyslexic. He studied Hispanic Philology in Barcelona because he wanted to become a writer. Deviating from the path, he traveled to the ends of the earth in search of another possible life, and it seems that it worked: since then, he has been published in El País (Planeta Futuro), Yorokobu, and Pikara Magazine. Today, he works as an editor for Viajes National Geographic, and this is his first book.
