Author Biography

Diego Muñoz (Constitución, Chile, 1956) has published thirteen books of short stories, six novels, and has been included in more than eighty anthologies and literary samples published in Chile and abroad. His work has been translated into Chinese, Bulgarian, Croatian, French, Italian, English, Russian, Icelandic and Mapudungun.   He has been distinguished in numerous literary contests, among them the Best Literary Work Award of the National Book Council(Chile) in 1994 and 1996. In 2012, he received the Hummingbird Medal (IBBY Chile) for the illustrated micro-story book “Breviario Minimo”.

Virginia Herrera Bangerter (1984, Ciudad Bolivar, Venezuela). Visual artist, illustrator and animator. She has published books like Bobú (2012) Please, Please (2012), Story of Singing (2014), Ema and Pajarito (2019), among others. At the same time, he carries out personal projects, be they small books, animation tests, or drawings that appear to explore new ideas. In 2012 she was winner of the first contest of the Children's Illustrated Book Pehuén Editores - Universidad del Pacífico, in 2013 she obtained the FONDART Scholarship for literary creation, among other awards.
