1657. The year of the plague
by Roberto Palumbo
Description
Genova, year 1657. The doctor
Piero Argentieri enters the city a few
days prior to the plague epidemic
which would eventually kill more
than half of its inhabitants. He can’t
escape. He can’t hide. He can’t do
anything but passively endure the
feelings arising from the doomsday
scenario. But the plague shows him
not only pain, anger, dismay and
betrayals, but also love, solidarity
and hope: the hope that not
everything is lost.
