The book collects six typical cases in China written by the author. These stories depict the indomitable efforts of the Chinese people in constructing a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. Township Enterprises and Their Roles in Poverty Alleviation” introduces the evolution and development of township enterprises that play an important role in lifting the Chinese people in rural areas out of poverty; the “Story of Spring” tells how Shenzhen, a “fast-growing city” has evolved from a small fishing village into a globalized city over the past 30 years… Through reading these six cases, readers can have a deeper understanding of China’s economic development.
