Nepal. History and Culture
by Axel Michaels
Description
Travelling to Nepal is in, and the trend is rising; the fascination for the mysterious, colorful land on the roof of the world is unbroken.
This History of Nepal tells not one, but many stories: the history of water, the elephants or the shaman's drum, of dynasties, traditions, rituals, festivals, or arts, that have remained largely unchanged to this day, because in Nepal indeed, time seems to have stood still at times. If you don't want to stay on the surface, this book by the well-known South Asia expert Axel Michaels is the right one.
